The Ingredients (“The Why”)

I was coming to LA a lot for work and would stay in Echo Park. When I would stay with friends I would have all my beauty products (rattail comb, packs of braiding hair, gels, oils, scarves/bonnets - everything!) and my friends from LA would ask me to bring them back a specific item and I would. Then, it became 2 friends want this brand of gel, and then its 5 friends that want oils and butters from another store and then, BOOM! - that's when the idea came to me.

I should just open up a store in LA and that's when my new business endeavor, Sweet Tea's was born - a family nickname for my mother, Theresa.

As the idea has become to take form our community has also spoken - and we listen. Sweet Tea’s is a beauty supply with all your all-time favorites but will have a strong emphasis on clean, non-toxic alternatives providing you with the knowledge and testimonies for you to make the most informed decision.
